Papa Earth Review
Papa Earth, the meat delivery service that provides quality products from local farmers right to your door.
We decided to fetch some raw organic meat, grounded pork, whole chicken, beef patties, tuna, shrimp, and other seafood in bulk to have a continuous supply of delicious meals. But for that, we needed to get connected with a trusted supplier in Canada. Because before you fill your freezer with this much food, you need to make sure it will stay fresh even after months.
And so we decided to give “Papa Earth” a try. Papa Earth is marked as the second-best meat delivery service in the country. Convenience, variety of meals, farm-sourced products, and transparent pricing are some top attributes of the service. As we move on with our Papa Earth review, we found that the service ticks almost all the boxes of being the ultimate best.

Overview Of Papa Earth
Papa Earth started back in 2016 in Ontario with the foremost aim of delivering fresh organic meats all across the city. With time the popularity of the company increased, and they decided to take the bold step. In 2018 they started their online butcher and meat shop to better reach out to consumers across Canada. Currently, the company delivers the best quality organic meat, poultry, and seafood to over 2000 meat-lovers every week.
During our Papa Earth meal review, we were surprised to see how many varieties of food they deliver. They offer the most extensive range of products compared to any other brand in the country. You will find about 100 products giving you more choices for your dinner table. And even with such a wide variation, their quality never wavers.
From sourcing their meat products to finally delivering them at home, the company strives to make things easier for you.
What Makes Papa Earth Unique?
What made us choose Papa Earth? While we began to review Papa Earth, we discovered a lot of unique, encouraging details about the brand.
First, the brand only uses locally sourced meat and wild fish. They collaborate with local farmers in producing meat that is free from pesticides, herbicides, and antibiotics. They ensure the farms follow humane practices and the animals are raised on a natural diet. This made every meal by Papa Earth healthy and balanced.
Secondly, the packaging of the service also caught our attention. They use 100% Recyclable packaging. And we also liked the idea of vacuum-sealed packaging. It keeps the air out and preserves the freshness of the meat. Lastly, all products of Papa Earth are processed at registered facilities regulated by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). And the best part is you get to enjoy free delivery in Ontario and Quebec!
Papa Earth Review: What Do They Deliver?
Papa Earth delivers proteins that are high in quality and are personally tested by the experts at Papa Earth. The quantity of meat depends upon your needs. They offer products for couples and big families as well.
They have a wide range of delicious proteins obtained from local farms. Canadian foodies can get meat, chicken, turkey, beef, pork, seafood, lamb, and bison. The meat is processed as steaks, roasts, burger patties, stew, sausages, grounded meat, and many more.
The organ meat category contains chicken hearts, beef liver, heart tongue, and more. Argentina wild-caught shrimps, scallops, tuna, and different fishes are available at Papa Earth.
You can also order packets of grass-fed butter from the meat service. The butter is inspired by pasture-based farming in Northern Ontario. It comes as salted and unsalted. The salted butter has cream and salt, whereas the unsalted butter only has cream.
Curated Boxes: Best Way Of Trying Papa Earth
When we placed our order, we came across two options: Curated boxes and Customized meat kits.
The brand itself prepares curated boxes. These handpicked meat boxes are perfect for a one-time delivery and require no weekly commitment. The small to large box contains meat from different sources, including beef, lamb, pork, chicken, and a variety of seafood.
If you are new to the service and want a Papa Earth meal review, getting a curated box will be a good idea. Besides, the website also mentioned that you could send them as gifted boxes anywhere in Canada.
We ordered a whole turkey (12-14lb) for $94.99 and a Butcher Box Canada. There was a lot of variety in the large box. We received 2 Striploin steaks, 2 top sirloin steaks, 2 Ribeye steaks, 2 salmon fillets, 2 pork bacon, and 1 lamb Spiducci for $179.95. And as we live in Ontario, there was no additional delivery cost.
The quantity and quality of food made us forget the high price. We were able to store the separately packed food without much difficulty. It was a good experience, and everything was beyond our expectations.
Note: The smallest box is around $94.99 and is suitable for small families. At the same time, the most expensive one is the All Canadian Keto Butcher Box which costs $800.
Papa Earth Review: Subscribe To Weekly Boxes
Subscribing to Papa Earth is an easy step process. Getting a subscription plan gives you the benefit of customization. To get started, you first need to choose from the three boxes available: small, medium, and large.
The box prices range from $125-$498. Next, you need to pick the frequency of your delivery. Papa Earth delivers 2,3, 4, and 6 times a week. While reviewing the Papa Earth meal boxes, we came across their coin system. Each box has been allocated a coin value:
- Small boxes (suitable for small families): 45 coins
- Medium Boxes (Most popular): 100 coins.
- Large Boxes (best-valued for large families):210 coins
Every item on the list has a coin value (5, 15, and 20) assigned to it. You can add products to your box, and the coins will start adding up. As soon as the total coin worth adds up to the box’s total, you can proceed to check out. The order will be delivered to you in 3-4 working days. You can pause or cancel the subscription anytime by going to your account settings.
Bulk Order Is Also An Option
Browsing through the subscription plans while we review Papa Earth, we also came across their Bulk Order plan. If you have a freezer and want to avoid the hassle of ordering again and again, this might be a good idea.
You can fill your box with the different variety of meat available in 10lbs per portion but at a discounted price. The bulk order starts at a minimum of $1250.
As for delivery, residents living in South Western Ontario, GTA, Ottawa, and 401 Corridors delivery is free. But for orders outside these cities, shipping costs will be charged.
Meal Box Packaging
According to the website, they use 100% recyclable paper boxes, which can be easily dumped into your curbside trash bin. Every piece of meat is separately packed in a vacuum sealed in a thick BPA-proof vacuum bag. This makes it easy for you to freeze and defrost them when needed.
The sealed packed meat can be kept fresh and unspoiled for almost a year. You will also find a bag of dry ice inside the meat box. This ensures the meat remains frozen for at least 24 hours.
However, for long-distance shipment, the brand uses an EPS cooler to keep the meat fresh till the box reaches its destination.
Shipment And Delivery
Papa Earth shows a great professional attitude while managing their delivery and shipment. They deliver meat boxes across Canada in areas where large delivery services are available such as FedEx and UPS.
The residents in Ontario and Quebec enjoy free delivery. But if you live in another province, delivery charges will be applied. While we went on with our Papa Earth review, we were able to find shipment charges for a few places in Canada.

- Manitoba: $25.
